Following shows in Victoria and Tasmania several months ago, Pete will be playing in Canberra, Sydney and Brisbane. This will conclude the 'slow burn' national release of the Pair Of Rogues EP. They'll be intimate solo shows, alongside the formidable Michael Simic (Mikelangelo and the Black Sea Gentleman) and hypnotic singer-songwriter Horseboy.
Having held things close to his chest for some time, Pete Lyrebird is launching his Debut EP 'Pair Of Rogues'. It will be available as a pre-order on Bandcamp before being available to download on February 15. A live show at Melbourne venue, The Workers Club, on February 18 will officially 'launch this ship'. The CD will be available to order on Bandcamp from February 19.
As Pete's new musical alter ego, this will be the Lyrebirds debut headline appearances as part of the Darebin Music Feast and Village Festival. Joined by by 4 musical accomplices and special guest acts.
CaSFFA present The Cathedral Builder, in partnership with the City of Melbourne, in a very special, one-off free event utilising the Melbourne Town Hall Grand Organ and the talents of Czech organist Pavel Kohout, who will perform his own score. Pete Reid will read the intertitles in English
Songs From The Edge Of The World will be performed for the Brunswick Music Festical from March 12 to 14, in it's native East Brunswick shed. This will be the last opportunity to see the performance for a time as the team will begin focusing on recordings after this.
